The application process has begun for the X International Environmental Telefestival "Territory of Tomorrow" in 2026.

March 20, 2026 11:08 Society In Nizhny Novgorod, the acceptance of applications for the 10th International Ecological Telefestival "Territory of Tomorrow" has begun. The launch took place on March 19 at the Ecological Education Center "Ecotorium" during a press conference dedicated to the festival. The telefestival will be held in Nizhny Novgorod from September 2 to 4, 2026, and will be marked by an important historical date — the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The press conference featured the Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Olga Guseva, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus, Oleg Shvets, the Chair of the Permanent Commission of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod on Ecology, Irina Molkova, the Head of the Apparatus of the Committee on Ecology and Natural Resources, Natalia Anoshina, a member of the Public Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Director and Artistic Director of the telefestival "Territory of Tomorrow," Svetlana Vasilieva, the curator of the "Formula of Good Deeds" program of SIBUR in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yulia Lazareva, and the Director of the Department of External Communications of Rostelecom Volga, Dmitry Syrov. "In 2026, the 10th anniversary telefestival takes on a new scale. This year is marked by an important historical date — the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The SCO unites 10 countries: Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Belarus. The ecological agenda is one of the unifying forces for the SCO countries. We see how our partners' readiness to support Russian and, in particular, Nizhny Novgorod initiatives is growing. I am confident that the anniversary "Territory of Tomorrow" will not only be a platform for creative competitions among journalists but also an important tool for ecological diplomacy in the SCO space," said Olga Guseva. The importance of holding the telefestival was also emphasized by Oleg Shvets. "It is a great honor for me to open the first event of the anniversary telefestival "Territory of Tomorrow." This year, the festival is held under the sign of a high mission, and I am very impressed by its motto: "Ecological Culture. Peace. Harmony. Unity." It emphasizes that nature, like culture, knows no national borders. Climate change, biodiversity conservation, and the purity of air and water are issues that concern every country, every family, and every person on Earth. Today, more than ever, it is clear: caring for nature is our common responsibility to future generations. And only through joint efforts, in an atmosphere of harmony and peace, can we pass on to our descendants a planet suitable for life," noted Oleg Shvets. The telefestival traditionally brings together the journalistic community, producers of "green" cinema, animators, and creative youth. All of them strive for one goal - to draw attention to ecological problems and work out ways to solve them in order to preserve fragile nature for future generations. It should be noted that issues of ecological education are of strategic importance today and are reflected in the national project "Ecological Well-Being." "For the anniversary festival, we have prepared many interesting things: new nominations, new events, outreach to the general public, and more extensive involvement of the younger generation of eco-journalists. We will hold an international youth eco-summit as part of the festival. We also expect a greater number of works from participants in the competitive program," said Svetlana Vasilieva. Applications are accepted from March 20 to July 15, 2026, on the official website: https://территория-завтра.рф. As part of the festival, in addition to the competition of journalistic and creative works, there will be master classes, conferences on current ecological issues, briefings, clean-up actions, the planting of an alley of "green" filmmakers, and much more.
