Public discussions on "Vodnik" have started in Nizhny Novgorod.

      March 19, 2026 17:50 Society Public discussions have begun in Nizhny Novgorod regarding the proposed changes to the Land Use and Development Rules necessary for the reconstruction of the "Vodnik" stadium. The relevant information has been published on the municipality's website. The initiative was put forward by the regional ministry of urban development. The agency proposes to reflect on the urban zoning map the area within which the comprehensive development project is planned to be implemented. The public discussions will last until March 27. Residents can send their proposals and comments through the GISOGD system of the Nizhny Novgorod region, send a letter to the district administration, or leave their opinion in the journal at the exhibition located at 15 Piskunova Street. The "Vodnik" stadium has been recognized as hazardous. Access to its territory is closed for safety reasons. The reconstruction project for the stadium is estimated to cost at least 2 billion rubles.
