Nizhny Novgorod residents can submit applications to participate in the sixth season of the international award #WEARETOGETHER.

March 19, 2026 16:39 Society Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can submit applications to participate in the sixth season of the international award #WEARETOGETHER. Applications are accepted until May 24 from volunteers, mentors, teams of social projects from Russia and other countries, commercial and non-profit organizations, as well as from regions and cities developing volunteerism. The award is held with the support of the President of Russia as part of the national project "Youth and Children." Applications are open on the website https://премия.мывместе.рф/. The start of the award was announced by the co-chairman of the organizing committee, the first deputy head of the Administration of the President of Russia, Sergey Kiriyenko, in Donetsk, where the "Days of Gorlovka" are taking place – a city that became a finalist in two nominations of the award last year. "The #WEARETOGETHER award is public recognition at the highest level. Participation opens new opportunities for leaders of social initiatives who preserve historical memory, help veterans, families of participants in the Special Military Operation, and people in difficult life situations, solve social problems, or care for the environment in Russia and the world. The essence of the award is to identify such leaders, support them, and provide opportunities for growth and scaling of practices," noted Sergey Kiriyenko. The sixth season of the award is timed to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, as well as the International Year of Volunteers declared by the UN. "This year, the #WEARETOGETHER award will become one of the key events of the International Year of Volunteers in Russia. It will take place in 12 nominations that will reflect the contribution of volunteers in various areas: from helping participants of the Special Military Operation and their families to ecology and the social sphere," said the head of Rosmolodyozh Grigory Gurov. In the national part of the award, applications are accepted from four categories of participants: individuals (volunteers and mentors), projects and NGOs, business, and territories (subjects of the Russian Federation, cities, mono-cities, and municipalities developing volunteerism). These same categories can apply in 12 nominations for projects of different themes ("Heroes of Our Time," "Sustainable Future," "Generation of Good," "Code of Mercy," "Country of Opportunities," and others). In the international part, there are only two nominations – "Code of Mercy" and "Sustainable Future." Any legal and natural persons can submit applications. "The new season of the award includes a number of innovations. First of all, this is the introduction of a special nomination "Strength of Unity," timed to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The nomination is open for projects that help people of different cultures work together, preserve traditions, and strengthen public consensus. In addition, for the first time, artificial intelligence will be used in evaluating applications - as an additional analysis tool for the jury, which will not affect the final decision," emphasized a member of the award's organizing committee, the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, head of Dobro.rf Artem Metelyov. The award ceremony for the winners will take place in December 2026 in Moscow as part of the international forum of civic participation #WEARETOGETHER. "The annual international award has long become a way for Nizhny Novgorod residents to showcase their initiatives in the field of volunteerism. We strive to create all opportunities for the development of volunteer activities throughout the region, opening new "Dobro.Centers" in municipalities, and among volunteers, you can find family dynasties. Last year, more than 500 applications were submitted for participation in the award, and we are confident that this year the number of initiatives from caring youth will only grow," said the Minister of Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Svetlana Anufrieva. The #WEARETOGETHER award is implemented as part of the national project "Youth and Children." The founder is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodyozh). The organizer is Dobro.rf. The organizing committee of the award is headed by the first deputy head of the Administration of the President of Russia Sergey Kiriyenko and the deputy chair of the Government of Russia Tatyana Golikova. The chairman of the International Directorate of the award is Leonid Roshal, president of the National Medical Chamber. It should be noted that since 2025, the national project "Youth and Children" has been in effect in Russia by order of President Vladimir Putin, which fulfills tasks previously outlined in the national projects "Education," "Science and Universities." The national project aims to create opportunities for the development of talents and self-realization of young people, fostering responsible and highly moral individuals. At the center of the national project is the construction and renovation of schools, improving the qualifications of teachers, creating new teaching methods, and comfortable conditions for learning. Special attention is paid to supporting talented youth, including young specialists. The national project includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia – a Country of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," "Professionalism." Support for volunteer activities is provided under the federal project "We Are Together." The goal is to ensure that the work of volunteers, with government support, becomes organized and brings more benefits. In particular, it is planned to create volunteer support centers, conduct training courses, and competitions. Projects requiring volunteer participation are presented on the website dobro.ru. In addition, those who lack experience can take special training courses at "Dobro.University." NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
