An accelerator for IT companies has been launched in Nizhny Novgorod.
In Nizhny Novgorod, a free acceleration program "Gorky.Accelerator" for IT companies has been launched by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Gorky Tech." The opening took place at the site of the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod Region government. The program includes 15 Nizhny Novgorod IT companies that have their own product and have passed expert selection. As noted by the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Yegor Polyakov, the task of the accelerator is not only to provide knowledge but also to create conditions for participants to partner with potential customers and investors. The Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Alexander Sinelobov, emphasized that the launch of the accelerator is the result of systematic work with IT companies in the region. According to him, the program will help teams adapt their developments to the demands of businesses, investors, and the real sector of the economy. Training will take place in a mixed format from March to May 2026. As part of online webinars, participants will learn about scaling and packaging products, while in-person meetings will address practical issues—from hiring teams to exporting. Companies will receive templates for financial models, instructions for hiring employees, and checklists for self-presentation. The President of the "Russoft" Association, Valentin Makarov, stated that the region holds leading positions in supporting the software industry and is one of the IT centers of the country. He expressed confidence that the accelerator will allow companies to make a name for themselves on an international level. The Director of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "Gorky Tech," Roman Renzin, reported that each participant is assigned a personal tracker-mentor who will accompany the team at all stages of work. As part of the program, projects will be presented to the expert community at the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" ("CIPR-2026"). After the training, post-acceleration support is planned, aimed at product development, attracting partners, and entering new markets. A project partner, the Director for the Development of New Directions and Innovations at "IT Holding T1," Anton Krasilnikov, stated that the company will support participants and conduct a master class as part of the educational program.
The implementation of the program aligns with the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State," which has been implemented since 2025 by order of President Vladimir Putin. Earlier, Governor Gleb Nikitin repeatedly emphasized the importance of supporting the IT industry in the region.
