The Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources has recovered over 780,000 rubles from the administration of Dzerzhinsk through the court for a dump in the forest.

      The courts of two instances confirmed the legitimacy of the claims of the Interregional Office of Rosprirodnadzor for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mordovia for the recovery of 780 thousand rubles from the administration of the city of Dzerzhinsk for damage caused to the soil. This was reported by the press service of the office. The case concerns the placement of waste in the forest area near the village of Pyra in the form of an unknown solid chemical substance, as well as construction debris, metal products, polyethylene, and municipal solid waste. The unauthorized dump was discovered in 2022 during an on-site inspection of the territory. The total area of the contaminated site exceeded 200 square meters. Specialists from Rosprirodnadzor calculated the damage caused to the soil and filed a lawsuit. The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region granted the claim. The defendant (the administration) attempted to challenge the decision in the First Arbitration Court of Appeal, but the appellate court found no grounds for this, and the court's decision came into legal force.
