Large enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region are preparing for personnel reshuffles that will affect about a thousand people. As reported by "Ъ-Privolzhye" citing the regional government, some companies have notified the employment service about upcoming "targeted layoffs" of personnel.
Despite the alarming term, this does not mean job loss. The term "layoff" often implies internal reshuffles: people are offered to move to other positions or learn related professions within the same organization. Such reshuffles are usually associated with updating the structure of companies and revising the staffing schedule.
