      The event dedicated to the Day of the Civil Servant, celebrated in Russia on January 24, took place in the Kremlin. More than 200 civil servants from the executive bodies of the region participated. Among the invited guests were participants of the "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program. The Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Gneushev, addressed the civil servants with congratulations. "We all understand that our mission is to serve the people. The stability, development, and well-being of the region and the entire country depend on your decisions, your competence, and your dedication to the cause. And the most important thing for us is that residents receive all the necessary support measures and protection from the state. We accomplish all tasks as a united team of the Nizhny Novgorod government, where the contribution of absolutely every person is important. Thanks to this work, we are improving the quality of life in the region, and our projects and solutions are recognized at the federal level in various fields," said Andrey Gneushev. The acting Minister of Human Resources Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Elena Amosova, also congratulated the employees of the executive bodies. "Colleagues, it is a great honor for me to congratulate and sincerely thank each of you for your daily responsible and very significant work for the region, for the energy and professionalism that you invest in your work every day. We consider such meetings extremely important; they allow us to communicate in an informal setting, to feel like part of one team united by a common goal: to serve the residents of our Nizhny Novgorod region," noted Elena Amosova. During the ceremonial event, winners of the #GovernmentTeamNO_2026 campaign were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts. As part of the campaign, employees were invited to share their journey into civil service, their workdays, or their family dynasty on social media. Winners were determined in three nominations: "My Dynasty of Civil Servants" – the family of Denis and Elena Baryshnikov (Ministry of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region); "My Path to Civil Service" – Alina Gorbunova (Ministry of Human Resources Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region); "My Workdays" – Yulia Bystrova (Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region) and Maxim Zinoviev (Ministry of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region). Boris Pudalov, the head of the Committee for Archives of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, delivered a lecture titled "The History of the Formation of Civil Service in the Nizhny Novgorod Region: From Peter's Times to the Present Day" to the event participants. Civil servants were also presented with career guidance tools from the Youth Career Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Kupno.Start." Additionally, everyone interested could test their knowledge about civil service, history, and cultural heritage of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in an intellectual game format.
