The post indicates that the 39-year-old official experienced a relapse of an old back injury sustained after the 800th anniversary of Nizhny Novgorod. After five years, urgent surgery was once again required. "It was already impossible to walk," Berkovich admitted. The deputy head of the region entrusted the team of neurosurgeons at the Burdenko Center. According to him, he liked everything in the medical institution: the atmosphere, the food, and the overall organization. "The operation was successful, and recovery is going well. For now, I am mostly working online. But the main thing is that I can walk again!" Berkovich noted. After this experience, the deputy governor concluded that health is not eternal, so it is important to find time for rest, sports, and check-ups. "When you are 39 and at some point you can hardly walk — it really sobers you up. I am definitely not ready to repeat such an experience every few years. So I solemnly promise myself: during rehabilitation and afterwards, sports will become a regular part of my life, not a postponed task," the deputy head of the region stated.
