The authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region held more than 160 meetings with businesses.
In 2025, more than 160 meetings took place in the Nizhny Novgorod region between the regional leadership and representatives of the business community. The meetings were attended by Governor Gleb Nikitin, his deputies, heads of municipalities, as well as over 4,000 people, including representatives of industrial enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, business associations, government bodies, and development institutions. The format of direct dialogue with businesses has been implemented in the region since 2018. Various issues of varying complexity, proposals for simplifying entrepreneurial activities, and infrastructure development are discussed at the meetings. According to Governor Gleb Nikitin, entrepreneurs highlight key problems and systemic issues that require attention. Some of these have already been resolved in 2025. In particular, cooperation between LLC "Stroimekhanizatsiya" and the resource supply organization was organized, which allowed for the conclusion of a contract for connection to the networks. The regional government also initiated the transfer of a federal land plot into regional ownership for subsequent leasing to JSC "Teplevo" for the development of animal husbandry. Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov noted that regional support measures and administrative processes are adjusted based on entrepreneurs' appeals. Among the frequently raised topics are reducing the timeframes for connecting to engineering networks, simplifying approval procedures when launching new productions, and expanding existing sites. The region has a feedback platform on "Gosuslugi" and a hotline for businesses with the short number "0052". The resolution of complex and multi-stage issues requiring the involvement of several departments is under control until final settlement. An investment committee (Council for Development Strategy and Investments under the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region) operates in the region to discuss contentious situations. Applications for consideration can be submitted through a form on the region's investment portal. Business support activities in 2025 became part of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy," implemented at the direction of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
The Nizhny Novgorod region ranks 2nd in the National Rating of the Investment Climate State by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
