      A meeting of the Municipal Deputies Club dedicated to the development of agriculture and the problems of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region took place at the headquarters of public support for the United Russia party. Municipal deputies, representatives of the United Russia party, and the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources of the region participated in the event. Deputy Secretary of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Organization of the United Russia party, head of the regional executive committee Dmitry Filipenko, as well as Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod region Alexey Firstov and Nikolai Khomutov addressed the participants with welcoming words. During the meeting, participants discussed issues of economic sustainability of the agro-industrial complex, price disparity, accessibility of state support measures, staffing in agriculture, rural development, logistics, and sales markets. Representatives of the regional Ministry of Agriculture noted that, based on the results of recent years, agricultural production in the region as a whole maintains a positive trend. Since 2021, investment in the agro-industrial complex has increased from 19 to 32 billion rubles, and about 100 investment projects are being implemented in the region with a total investment volume of over 85 billion rubles. "It is fundamentally important for us that decisions made at the regional level are formed taking into account the opinions of municipalities and those who work on the land. The Municipal Deputies Club is precisely a platform for direct dialogue and finding practical solutions for rural development," noted Dmitry Filipenko. Special attention was paid to preferential lending measures. Since 2023, agricultural producers in the Nizhny Novgorod region have attracted more than 87 billion rubles in preferential loans, a significant portion of which is directed towards replenishing working capital and implementing investment projects. "Our key task is to ensure the sustainable operation of agricultural enterprises and clear, accessible mechanisms for state support. We are ready to adjust existing measures based on the real requests of the territories," emphasized Alexey Firstov. In the block dedicated to staffing and social development of the village, as well as infrastructure development, participants were presented with existing regional and federal support programs. In addition, the meeting discussed issues of logistics, product storage, and promotion of local goods. "The development of rural territories is not only about the economy but also about the quality of life. We are consistently working on building roads, housing, social and engineering facilities to make the village a comfortable place to live and work. The implementation of the 'Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories' program and the promotion of local products within the framework of the 'Buy Nizhny' project continues in the region," noted Nikolai Khomutov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Following the meeting, representatives of the ministry confirmed their readiness for further cooperation in shaping decisions on the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
