Nizhny Novgorod fighters of the SVO were gifted a cargo-passenger vehicle.

December 3, 2025 20:00 Society The Coordination Center for Supporting Military Personnel and Their Families, operating at the House of National Unity, provided a cargo-passenger vehicle to Nizhny Novgorod participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO). The keys were handed over to the fighters by the head of the institution, Roman Koshelev, and the chief specialist of the center for interaction with military units, participant of the "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" program, Vladimir Petrukhov.

Koshelev noted that the vehicle was previously on the balance of one of the social institutions in Arzamas, and volunteers specializing in car repairs brought it to a condition that meets the necessary technical specifications. He emphasized that the transport is being handed over to Nizhny Novgorod residents performing tasks on the front line to enhance their capabilities.

According to Koshelev, the overall goal is to unite efforts and do everything possible to achieve Victory, and a large number of organizations and residents of the region sincerely supporting military personnel are involved in the work of the coordination center.

The vehicle will be sent to the engineering and sapper unit, where fighters from the Nizhny Novgorod region serve. The transport is planned to be used for the transportation of personnel and the delivery of various types of cargo.

Military personnel emphasized that equipment in the SMO zone is especially in demand, as it affects the mobility and uninterrupted operation of units. According to them, the new vehicle will allow for the prompt execution of assigned tasks. They noted that support from fellow countrymen plays an important role, strengthens confidence and morale, and expressed gratitude to everyone who helps.

SMO veteran Vladimir Petrukhov added that large-scale and systematic work is being carried out in the region to support military personnel and their families. He reported that the center regularly provides targeted assistance to units and families of SMO participants, ensuring fighters have everything necessary to carry out their service.

To date, the coordination center has processed nearly 3,400 requests, and more than 280 cargo and passenger vehicles, as well as 770 humanitarian convoys weighing approximately 4,900 tons, have already been sent to the SMO zone. Work continues without interruption.

It is worth noting that the Coordination Center for Supporting Military Personnel and Their Families was established at the House of National Unity in October 2022. Its activities include forming and sending humanitarian aid to the SMO zone, maintaining communication with military units, coordinating interagency interaction, working with requests from military personnel and their relatives, as well as conducting events aimed at supporting SMO participants and their families.

It was reported that the Nizhny Novgorod region allocated 17 billion rubles to assist SMO fighters.
