5 million rubles will be invested in the development of Nizhny Novgorod's Prostokvashino.

December 4, 2025 09:00 Society The authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region, together with the TNT television channel, plan to transform the village of Prostokvashino in the Tonkin district into a full-fledged tourist space. This was announced by Governor Gleb Nikitin on his Telegram channel. According to the head of the region, the television channel will allocate 5 million rubles, obtained from the rental of the film "Prostokvashino," for the improvement of the Nizhny Novgorod village and the development of its tourist infrastructure. "We want families with children to come here. Prostokvashino has a special atmosphere — guests are greeted by the characters of the beloved cartoon right at the entrance. The village itself has themed areas for children and adults. During a one-day excursion, you can meet Sharik and Matroskin, as well as hear interesting stories from Pechkin," noted Nikitin. The governor also emphasized that the village lacks modern conditions for comfortable recreation, such as glamping. "Now this dream will become a reality thanks to the support of TNT. I thank the director of the channel, Tina Kandelaki, for her participation and attention to our region. We, in turn, will provide grant assistance to the Prostokvashino team and help them apply for the "Creative Practices Teams" competition," added the head of the region. It was previously reported that an ecotourism center opened on the shore of Lake Toskan in the Vorskma area of the Nizhny Novgorod region. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel.
