      The head of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, assessed the results of the work that was carried out after a personal reception in January of this year with a resident of the Prioksky district, Zhanna Kovalenko. The mayor announced this on his Telegram channel. At that time, Zhanna Alexandrovna voiced the request of many residents of Prioksky to expand the turnaround area near the "Microdistrict 'Flowers'" bus stop, where electric buses have now started operating, as well as to create a sidewalk on Tsvetochnaya Street, which was supposed to ease the way to the kindergarten and two buildings of the new school. Yuri Shalabaev wrote after the meeting with the Prioksky resident: "I involved the city’s transport and road management department in the issue. There are no difficulties in the work plan, but additional funding will be required for the repairs. I instructed to allocate the necessary funds – since people are asking, we need to do it. Moreover, the issue also concerns the safety of children."

      And so, in June, the work was completed, and the head of the city shared the results on his Telegram channel. "I always monitor the implementation of my instructions, especially when they are given during personal meetings with residents," the mayor wrote, noting that a new bus shelter has also been installed at the "Microdistrict 'Flowers'" stop and lighting has been added. As reported by the head of the Prioksky district administration, Mikhail Shatilov, about 1,000 square meters of the roadway and 1,300 square meters of the sidewalk have been repaired on Tsvetochnaya Street, approximately 1,100 linear meters of curb stones have been installed, as well as three new lighting poles, which have made the street much brighter and safer in the evening. "Of course, the area has transformed: it has become more spacious, more accessible for both pedestrians and public transport. The work was completed in June, great thanks to the head of the city for the support provided and to the residents for their concern for the improvement of the district," he said.

      Residents of the Prioksky district have duly appreciated the results of the work carried out on Tsvetochnaya Street. They noted that it is now convenient to walk here and comfortable to wait for transport. "It’s incomparable to what it was," explained Zhanna Kovalenko. "When I was at the reception with Yuri Vladimirovich, I immediately understood that our request would not go unnoticed. And indeed, everything was done quickly and efficiently. Now everything is neat, clean, bright, and the bus stop is convenient. Thank you very much." As the head of Nizhny Novgorod reported, similar work to equip the turnaround area, sidewalk, and install a bus shelter was also carried out in the village of Cherepichny in the same Prioksky district. More than 1,800 square meters of the roadway and almost 400 square meters of sidewalks were repaired there.

      "In this case, the Priok residents contacted the district administration, which got involved in solving the issue," Yuri Shalabaev wrote on his Telegram channel.
