      As follows from materials published on the website of the Kanavinsky District Court, Nizhny Novgorod resident Andronova P.V., who had lost her passport, had to prove that she had not died.

      When the woman tried to replace the document at the registry office, she was informed that she had been declared deceased. It turned out that earlier a patient without documents had been admitted to one of Nizhny Novgorod’s hospitals who gave her name as Andronova P.V. The woman soon died. A death certificate was drawn up.

      Andronova P.V. asked to have the information identifying her as deceased removed, and to recognize the deceased woman as an unknown person. The court granted the claims.
