OBI home-improvement hypermarkets will be renamed in Nizhny Novgorod.
January 13, 2026 11:42 Society The chain of home improvement hypermarkets OBI is preparing for a large-scale rebranding. All stores will be renamed "DOM Lenta". This information was posted on the company's official website.
There are two such stores in Nizhny Novgorod — in the MEGA shopping mall and the Fantastika shopping and entertainment center. The rebranding will cover all 25 operating stores in 11 cities across the country.
Initially OBI belonged to the German company OBI GmbH, which began operating in Russia in 2003. However, in 2022 the foreign owner left the Russian market, and the stores temporarily suspended operations. Later the hypermarkets resumed operations under the management of new owners. In April 2025, entities affiliated with "Severgroupp" acquired a stake in the company, which led to the current changes.
Earlier it was reported that residents of Nizhny Novgorod sent a letter to the founder of Wildberries over the construction of a warehouse in Novinki.
