      The Kremlin funicular in Nizhny Novgorod transported more than 360,000 people in 2025. Total ticket revenue amounted to 91.8 million rubles, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" was told by the regional government's administrative department.

      Recall that the funicular began operating in September 2024. It connects the upper and lower parts of the Kremlin grounds, offering residents and tourists a convenient and picturesque way to move around the city's historic center.

      Since July 1, 2025, the price of a single ride on the funicular has been 350 rubles.

      Earlier, the head of the Gorodetsky District, Alexander Mudrov, expressed hope that including Gorodets in the "Golden Ring" tourist route would serve as an incentive to attract investment for the construction of a funicular in the town.
