A new bus route No. 52 has been launched in Nizhny Novgorod, partially duplicating the suspended tram lines No. 3 and No. 21. It connects Dubki Park, Komsomolskaya Square and Gorky Square. This was reported by the region's CRTS.
Buses run from the Proletarskaya metro station along Gleb Uspensky Street, Cosmonaut Komarov Street, Lenin Avenue, Zarechny Boulevard, Admiral Makarov Street, Dargomyzhsky Street, Molitovskaya Street, through Komsomolskaya Square, the Oksky Exit, Lyadov Square and on to Gorky Square.
The CRTS noted that due to road congestion, especially the accumulation of passenger cars, buses are unable to pass along Admiral Makarov and Dargomyzhsky streets. The center urges drivers to be attentive and not to obstruct public transport.
Trams No. 3 and No. 21 have not been running since December 15. On the section from Komsomolskaya Square to Dubki Park, major repair work on the tram tracks is underway. The work is scheduled to be completed by November 2026, during which 8.3 km of rails will be renewed.
Also note that as of January 1, 2026, the routing of several bus routes in Nizhny Novgorod has changed.
