Pari NN lose to Uralmash in a dramatic finale.

      "Pari NN" played its first home game of 2026, hosting Yekaterinburg's Uralmash at the Nagorny Sports Palace. The match, like the teams' previous meeting, turned into a nerve-wracking battle in the final seconds.

      First half

      The game immediately picked up a high tempo. The teams exchanged attacks, showing even and attractive basketball. However Uralmash set the tone in this stretch, and the main reason for that was Garrett Nevels. The American guard barely missed in the first quarter, which by the end of the game would help him finish with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Thanks to him the visitors kept a minimal advantage after the first 10 minutes — 23:25. After the break Uralmash coach Rostislav Vergun found the right words. His team, led by Tyrell Nelson, went on a strong run and increased the gap to 12 points. It seemed the game was slipping out of control. But Pari NN showed character and managed to claw back part of the deficit, finding an answer in the attack from Kirill Popov. Nevertheless, by halftime the double-digit difference had narrowed but not disappeared: the scoreboard read 34:45.

      Second half

      The second half began with the activation of the Nizhny leader. Isaiah Washington, finding his rhythm, became the main threat to the visitors' defense. His precise shots one after another erased Uralmash's lead, forcing Rostislav Vergun to call a timeout. The pause only briefly halted the hosts' momentum. Compared to the first half, Pari NN played much more cohesively on offense, which allowed them to cut the deficit to 6 points before the decisive quarter — 53:59. The final stretch gave the spectators incredible emotions. Hunter Dean put on a real show, his actions bringing Pari NN back into the game. And when captain Evgeny Baburin cut the deficit to one point, the stands erupted. Uralmash's timeout did not help: the defense held, and the same Hunter Dean, with 4 minutes left, put the team ahead! The Nizhny side led at the most important moment, but a minute before the end Aizeya Riz seized the initiative, scoring a crucial three-pointer. Sergey Kozin called a timeout for the last attack, but the play failed and they had to foul. The player who had been the main nightmare of the evening — Garrett Nevels — stepped to the line. And then a miracle happened: he missed both shots! Pari NN still had a chance to send the game to overtime. However Isaiah Washington's decisive long-range shot at the buzzer hit the rim and did not go in. Final score — 73:76.

But at some point we were able to show character and went ahead by 3 points. However at the decisive moment we lost 3 rebounds that cost us the victory.
