      The Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, commented on citizens' appeals in social networks and the media regarding the quality of snow clearing on residential grounds. In his Telegram channel the city head emphasized that residents' complaints are also confirmed by the results of regular inspections.

      So far, based on facts of improper performance of duties, the Administrative and Technical Inspection has already launched about 500 proceedings against DUKs and TSZHs. The mayor added that this should serve as a signal to the companies to urgently correct their mistakes.

      In his message the mayor paid special attention to an incident in the Burmakovsky residential complex, where the management company blocked a local resident after her complaints about snowdrifts in the yard. Shalabaev noted that management companies receive money for the maintenance of yards, therefore such actions are unacceptable. "Someone, it seems, has completely lost touch with reality. I won't paint everyone with the same brush — I see the titanic work being done by everyone in the fight against the snow, but we will not turn a blind eye to this either," Yuri Shalabaev said.
