      Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, as part of the "Tree of Wishes" campaign, fulfilled the dream of 17‑year‑old Anna from Kstovo. The girl received a unique opportunity to visit the National Center "Russia" and Pirogov University.

      Anna is preparing to take the Unified State Exam and is considering linking her future profession to medicine and programming, especially medical cybernetics.

      According to the press service of the federal Ministry of Health, during the visit to the university the Nizhny Novgorod resident spoke with students and alumni, and also took part in simulation training, where she was tasked with working on an ambulance: examining a patient, making a diagnosis and stabilizing his condition. Anna noted that it was not easy.

      During the tour the schoolgirl from Nizhny Novgorod and Mikhail Murashko also familiarized themselves with developments based on brain–computer interface technology and robotic exoskeletons. The minister explained that such technologies are actively used in the rehabilitation of patients after a stroke, helping them restore motor functions.

      Anna also visited the Engineering Center of Pirogov University, whose director told her about the wide range of tasks carried out by the laboratories: from developing design projects for medical devices and prototyping to producing finished products. The center's specialists also create 3D models of any complexity using additive manufacturing technologies.

      After the meeting Anna said that her resolve to pursue a career in medicine and computer science had strengthened. She emphasized that to succeed in these fields not only good grades are important, but also participation in olympiads, which help develop unconventional thinking and the ability to solve complex problems.
