Schoolchildren of Nizhny Novgorod can submit applications for the fifth season of the popular-science video contest "Know? Teach!" (6+), organized with the support of the national project "Youth and Children", until March 1, 2026. The fifth season promises to be larger in scale, and the winners will receive prizes and additional points when applying to RUDN. To participate, it is enough to shoot a video up to three minutes long and upload it to the contest website. The best works will be shown on federal TV.

The contest takes place in six thematic categories:

"Digital Planet: satellites and drones" — from the Geoscan Group: to enter this category you need to record a video about how modern unmanned aerial vehicles and space satellites help study the Earth.

"Smart Materials of the Future" — from the company Sibur: this category accepts videos about new materials that make life more convenient, safer and more environmentally friendly.

"Engine Building" — from ODK: schoolchildren should explain how knowledge of mathematics and physics helps the engineering profession.

"Device of the Future: from idea to blueprint" — from the Movement of the First: participants in this category must invent their own gadget of the future and in the video describe its principle of operation in detail and provide a scientific rationale.

"Science, History, Human" — from Eksmo-AST: the theme of this category is the development of science in different eras of human life, brilliant scientists and great discoveries that influence culture and society.

"Artificial Intelligence for Everyone" — from Avito: to participate in this category you need to record a video in which you explain what artificial intelligence is and how it works in everyday life.

Winners in each category will be determined in three age groups, for a total of 18 winners.

RUDN and the Vyzov Foundation have added the categories "Best Mentor" and "Best School", as well as a special category "Marathon of Regions", where victory will go to the top five regions from which the most children participate.

RUDN Rector Oleg Yastrebov noted that the contest helps find talented applicants, and finalists are awarded three additional points when applying. The mentors of the winners will receive gifts, and schools that win in the "Smart Materials" category will receive charging stations.
