Police are searching for the person responsible for a multi-vehicle crash in Diveyevsky District.

      On January 4 at 18:21, at the 29th kilometer of the Vyezdnoye — Diveyevo — Satis highway in the Diveyevsky district, a multi-vehicle crash involving four cars occurred.

      According to the police, an unidentified driver of a white Volkswagen Tiguan, who was traveling from Arzamas toward Diveyevo, entered the oncoming lane and collided with two vehicles — a Kia Rio and a Mitsubishi Lancer. The Lancer was shoved into the oncoming lane by the impact, where it crashed into a VAZ 2114.

      Two people were injured in the accident; one of them sustained serious injuries and is currently in hospital.

      The driver who caused the collision fled the scene. Law enforcement is searching for him to clarify the circumstances of the accident and to bring him to account.

      "If anyone has information about this accident or dashcam footage from this section of the road between 17:30 and 19:00 on January 4, 2026, please report it to +7 (953) 563 0976 or +7 (904) 902 2698," the police appealed to Nizhny Novgorod residents.
