      On the evening of January 5, a serious traffic accident involving three cars occurred in Nizhny Novgorod, injuring two people. This was reported by the press service of the regional traffic police department.

      The accident happened at around 18:30 on Gagarin Avenue near the Sports Palace. According to reports,

      According to available information, the 19-year-old driver of a Lada Priora drove into the oncoming lane. The young man collided with two vehicles at once — a Lada Vesta, driven by a 53-year-old man, and a Chevrolet Lacetti, driven by a 26-year-old driver.

      As a result of the incident the Priora driver was injured and taken to hospital. Medical assistance was also required for a passenger of the Lada Vesta; he was hospitalized.

      The circumstances of the accident are being clarified. An investigation is underway.
