23 dumps were cleared in the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod in 2025.

      In the Sovietsky District of Nizhny Novgorod in 2025, 23 unauthorized dumps were cleared, with the total volume of waste amounting to about 1,700 cubic meters. This was reported by the district administration.

      The head of the district, Alexander Ivanov, said that the waste was removed from an area of approximately 5,000 square meters. He noted that the situation with unauthorized dumps is gradually improving.

      According to him, in 2024 the volume of waste from such dumps exceeded 3,000 cubic meters, and in 2025 it decreased by almost half. He added that the problem remains relevant. The administration regularly inspects the district’s territory, responds quickly to the appearance of new dumps and schedules their cleanup.

      Ivanov also appealed to residents, asking them not to throw away garbage in unauthorized places and to be more careful with the environment.

      The Department of Improvement clarified that this year waste was cleared in various parts of the district. Work was carried out, in particular, along the road to the Third Shchelokovskoye Lake, on the bank of the Starka River from Golovnina Street, opposite building 123A on Starokuznechikhinskaya Street in the village of Kuznechikha, near buildings 48 and 50 on Guzhevaya Street, by building 9 on Yelkhovskaya, as well as along the road from Akademika Sakharov Street to building 130 on Vaneeva Street and in other locations.

      Earlier it was reported that in 2025 Nizhny Novgorod was allocated about 7.4 million rubles from the regional budget for the elimination of nine unauthorized dumps.
