      Due to a surge of passengers during the New Year holidays, the Burevestnik train’s consist was temporarily increased to 15 coaches. The expanded format will be in effect until January 13, 2026. The high-speed double-decker train running between Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow is steadily gaining popularity. In its first month of operation, since its launch on December 3, it was used by more than 100,000 passengers, the press service of the Gorky Railway reports.

      The train runs daily and stops at Dzerzhinsk, Kovrov and Vladimir. From Nizhny Novgorod the Burevestnik departs three times a day — morning, afternoon and evening — and the same schedule applies in the opposite direction. During the journey passengers have access to double-decker coaches with standard and upgraded seating arrangements, SV sleeper cars, a coach for passengers with reduced mobility and a bistro car.

      Russian Railways (RZD) note that it is precisely the Burevestnik that has become one of the most notable returns on the Nizhny Novgorod–Moscow route, and its comfort and speed made it sought-after already in its first month of operation.
