Volunteers in Nizhny Novgorod are trying to save a skeleton-like cat. This was reported by the Sostradanie NN shelter.
The cat Sonya was brought to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized. She had previously been taken in from the street, but over the years her condition only worsened, so it was decided to put her to sleep. The pet is very active and constantly wants to eat; however, everything she eats immediately passes through her and is not absorbed. Another problem is an old fracture from a fall out of a window.
Now volunteers intend to save the cat and do not plan to put her to sleep. Soon they will take tests, examine her, perform an ultrasound and keep her in the hospital to stabilize her condition. Residents of Nizhny Novgorod can help save the cat by making a donation.
Earlier, pravda-nn.ru reported that a kitten who had been surviving in the forest was rescued by Nizhny Novgorod volunteers.
