Due to restrictions imposed overnight, Nizhny Novgorod’s Chkalov Airport accepted two flights bound for Moscow as alternates. This was reported by the airport’s press service.

After the restrictions in the capital were lifted, the aircraft flying from Dushanbe to Zhukovsky proceeded to its destination airport. The Tbilisi–Vnukovo flight experienced technical problems, as a result some passengers were accommodated in hotels, while about 70 people made their own way to Moscow.

In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod air hub is currently accepting flights destined for Kazan. This is due to adverse weather conditions in the capital of Tatarstan. At the moment a flight from Tashkent has been accepted.

Drinking fountains and water coolers are available for passengers. They also have access to poufs and mattresses.

Passengers are advised to monitor the information on the online flight board and the announcements over the terminal’s public-address system.

Recall that on January 1 Chkalov accepted nine flights as an alternate aerodrome.
