      Eight people were injured by pyrotechnics on New Year's Eve in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the region's Ministry of Health.

      According to the department, seven of the injured sought medical help and were referred for outpatient treatment after receiving first aid.

      One person suffered more serious injuries and was hospitalized. He is currently undergoing treatment at a medical facility.

      Earlier it was reported that 390 residents of Nizhny Novgorod sought emergency medical assistance on New Year's Eve. It was also reported that 15 minors were hospitalized in Nizhny Novgorod hospitals, four of them with alcohol poisoning.
