      A private house caught fire in Novy Doskin in the Avtozavodsky District. According to the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), firefighting forces of elevated rank No. 1BIS were deployed to extinguish it. The fire affected an area of about 80 square meters. Thanks to the prompt actions of the firefighters, the fire was prevented from spreading to neighboring structures. There were no casualties among rescuers or neighbors.

      However, the bodies of two deceased people were found in the house — a 41-year-old man and a woman whose identity is being confirmed. According to preliminary findings, the tragedy may have been caused by carelessness while smoking. It should be added that an improperly extinguished cigarette caused a fire on the night of December 30 in the Avtozavodsky District, in which a 74-year-old man died.
