      “Your minute of joy from a firework display can turn into serious and even terrible consequences for our residents,” Limpopo explained.

      According to representatives of the organization, there have been many cases around the world, including in Russia, of animals dying in zoos because of pyrotechnics or the release of Chinese lanterns.

      Sharp, loud sounds are always stressful for any animal, and against that background anything can happen to an innocent living being: digestive upsets, an exacerbation or onset of a new disease, injury, a stroke or even a heart attack, Limpopo warned.
