All flights accepted by Nizhny Novgorod Airport have been sent to their destinations.

      28 December 2025 16:04 Society All aircraft that Chkalov Airport accepted as diversionary have successfully departed for their destinations. This was reported by the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod airport.

      After the lifting of restrictions, all aircraft that arrived in Nizhny Novgorod in the past 24 hours continued on to Moscow airports. A total of 26 flights were handled.

      By decision of the airlines, passengers on three flights were sent to the capital by buses.

      Recall that on the evening of December 27, due to the temporary closure of Sheremetyevo Airport, a number of aircraft were diverted to alternate airfields in Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Saratov, Samara and Yekaterinburg. The transport prosecutor’s office monitored to ensure that passengers’ rights were respected.
