The Rowing Canal embankment project failed the state review.

      The project to build a waterfront along the Rowing Canal in Nizhny Novgorod failed the state expertise. Information about this was posted in the official register on December 26.

      The section in question is on the right bank of the Volga, located opposite houses No. 321 in the Pechery settlement and No. 533 in the Podnovye settlement. A permanent hydraulic structure of class III was planned to be erected here. The developer is LLC "Specialized Developer Bereg", part of the GloraX developer group.

      The project documentation was prepared by three organizations: LLC "Istoki", LLC "Uralgeoproject" and LLC "Design and Survey Institute 'Sevzapmostproekt'". The examination was carried out by the State Autonomous Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Department of State Expertise of Project Documentation and Results of Engineering Surveys". It covered both the project documentation and the results of engineering surveys.

      Recall that the embankment is part of a comprehensive territory development zone approved by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. On a plot of 10.55 hectares, the construction of a residential complex with public premises and an underground parking garage is planned. Also planned is the construction of a school for 550 students and a kindergarten for 200 places. The entire KRT territory covers 14.7 hectares, on which 101,000 square meters of housing will be built. The project implementation period is calculated at 15 years. The total volume of investment in residential construction will amount to about 30 billion rubles. About 1.6 billion is planned to be allocated for the creation of social infrastructure, and another 5 billion for shore reinforcement.

      The developer will be LLC "Specialized Developer Bereg", part of the Glorax developer group. In April the project received a positive conclusion from the state expertise. At that time the regional Ministry of Construction also approved the construction of the first residential building.

      Earlier it was reported that the shore reinforcement of the Chernigovskaya embankment in Nizhny Novgorod was 45% complete.
