In Nizhny Novgorod, one of the new three-section "MiNiN" trams derailed on the day it entered service. It happened near the Gordeyevsky department store, at a turnout.
According to LLC "Ecological Projects", tram service on routes No. 6 and No. 7 was fully restored at 16:64, approximately an hour and a half after the incident. The causes of the incident are currently being investigated.
Recall that the new sets began operating on routes in the Zarechny part of the city on 25 December. The T856 "MiNiN" model is a modernized version of the Nizhny Novgorod "MiNiN" tram. The tram consists of three sections, is fully low-floor, can reach speeds of up to 75 km/h and is designed to carry up to 280 passengers, including 61 seated.
