More than 40 films and television series were filmed in the Nizhny Novgorod region in 2025.

      December 26, 2025 09:13 Culture and Leisure. The Nizhny Novgorod Film Commission supported 46 projects in the outgoing year 2025, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" was told by the regional Ministry of Culture.

      Among those that received support were the series "Obstetrician-2" (16+), "My Dad Is the Mayor", "Security Forces"; the films "How Ivan Got into a Fairy Tale", "Solovyova to the Blackboard!", "Volunteer", "Bo-bo"; short films, TV projects and other audiovisual works, including the #MUSICTOGETHER project "With Love from the Volga Region."

      Filmmakers were assisted with selecting locations for shoots and equipment, and were provided with consultations. They were also helped with drafting letters of support.

      Which projects will be produced in the Nizhny Novgorod region next year has not yet been disclosed. Filming usually begins in the spring, so the Ministry of Culture promised to provide information a little later.

      It was revealed the day before that the tenth "Gorky Fest" (18+) will take place in early July.

      Recall that this year the Nizhny Novgorod region simplified film production by launching a digital platform.
