En+ volunteers created an atmosphere of warmth, support, and New Year’s magic for children.

      The large-scale charitable project "New Year Marathon," organized by energy holding EN+ and the company RUSAL, has concluded. Throughout December, teams of volunteers actively supported the region’s social institutions, helping to create a festive atmosphere ahead of the New Year. Together with pupils of social rehabilitation centers and public organizations, volunteers decorated premises, prepared New Year souvenirs and decorations, and held entertainment events.

      “This long-awaited initiative became a true celebration for all the volunteers, because we put so much warmth and positive energy into it and receive sincere gratitude in return. The most important thing for parents is to see the children’s smiles, to feel their joy and happiness. That is why we so gladly created an atmosphere of real New Year magic for the kids,” shared volunteer and head of the Capital Construction Department of "Generation of Heat," Yulia Panasyuk.

      Volunteers from EN+ Teplo Volga organized a juggling master class for the wards of the Comprehensive Center for Social Services. Together with the children, the energy workers made pottery on a potter’s wheel. And with children from the "Perspektiva" Center for Assistance to the Blind, they painted Christmas tree ornaments. In the run-up to the New Year, EN+ Teplo Volga volunteers brought festive cheer to children from large families: Ded Moroz and Snegurochka visited the children at home and handed out gifts.

      “EN+ energy workers set an example of true kindness and care, creating an atmosphere of warmth, support and New Year magic for our children!” shared Elena Durneva, head of the Association of Large Families of the Avtozavodsky District.

      "New Year Marathon" is the concluding cycle of volunteer project events of the "Helping Is Easy" program. It has been held for several years, brings together caring people and gives a holiday to those who need it most. This year the "New Year Marathon" involved 28 cities where EN+ and RUSAL operate, a total of 230 teams, three of which were from Nizhny Novgorod. In total, more than 1,000 volunteers helped social institutions prepare for the New Year celebration.
