Nearly 69 million rubles will be allocated for round-the-clock protection of bridges in Nizhny Novgorod.

      More than 20 bridges and overpasses in Nizhny Novgorod will be protected against illegal interference in 2026. 68.6 million rubles are planned to be allocated for the implementation of protective measures. This information is posted on the official public procurement portal.

      The list of facilities to be protected includes the city’s major bridges — Kanavinsky, Molitovsky, Myzinsky, as well as the combined metro bridge.

      Security measures will also affect a number of city overpasses. These include the overpasses on Tsiolkovsky Street, by the "Moscow" cinema, two structures on Lenin Avenue, the bridge on Vaneev Street, as well as two overpasses on Molodezhny Avenue and other engineering structures of the transport infrastructure.

      Specialized transport security units are planned to be involved to carry out the work. As follows from the explanatory note to the draft contract, this is not simply about guarding the facilities, but about complying with the requirements of federal legislation in the field of transport security.

      According to the contract conditions, in connection with a decree of the Russian government, the protection of the bridges will be carried out around the clock.
