Minister of Culture Lyubimova assessed the new film adaptation of the fairy tale "Buratino".
24 December 2025, 14:42 — Culture and Leisure. Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova shared her impressions of the new screen adaptation of the fairy tale "Buratino" (0+). The head of the Ministry of Culture wrote about the premiere on her Telegram channel.
The director of the new film is Igor Voloshin. The modern version of the well-known fairy tale once again tells viewers about the adventures of Buratino and his friends — characters familiar to everyone from childhood. The cast includes Vitaliya Kornienko, Alexander Yatsenko, Anastasia Talyzina, Alexander Petrov, Viktoriya Isakova, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Mark Eidelshtein and others.
As the minister noted, the main part of the filming took place at the MosKino film park. For the shoot they recreated the atmosphere of an Italian town from the late 19th to the early 20th century. On the set there appeared a town hall square, a bakery, a pharmacy, a fountain, stalls and a trattoria.
Lyubimova paid special attention to the film's final scene, which involved more than 200 people. Of them, 35 were professional dancers who took part in the mass choreographic production.
"I'm sure the new film about Buratino will draw many viewers to cinemas across our country during the New Year holidays," wrote the minister of culture, wishing everyone an enjoyable viewing.
Earlier it was reported that demand for participation as extras in film shoots in the Nizhny Novgorod region has tripled.
