Ayrat Tukhvatullin has left his post as director of the Nizhny Novgorod Opera Theatre.
01 December 2025 17:45 Culture and LeisureAyrat Tukhvatullin has left his post as director of the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theater named after A.S. Pushkin. According to Interfax, he has taken over as head of the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
Recall that Tukhvatullin joined the Nizhny Novgorod theater in February 2024, replacing Tatyana Mavrina in that position. Before that, for several years he had held the post of first deputy artistic director — director of the Moscow Art Theatre named after A.P. Chekhov.
At one of the press conferences Tukhvatullin said that each new production costs the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theater 20 million rubles.
