Agribusiness companies in the Nizhny Novgorod region posted 1,400 vacancies.
More than 1.4 thousand vacancies have been posted by agricultural enterprises of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on the "Rabota Rossii" portal. Employment offers were published by over 100 agrarian companies in the region.
Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, noted that the region’s agro-industrial complex is actively developing and requires a constant influx of new personnel. Specialists with both higher and secondary vocational education are in demand.
About 100 investment projects in the agro-industrial complex are being implemented in the region, providing for the creation of 5,000 jobs. To support specialists, scholarships, one-time relocation payments and subsidies for housing purchase of up to 2 million rubles are provided. The region also participates in the comprehensive rural development program.
Among the most in-demand professions are tractor operator, truck driver, livestock breeder, veterinary doctor (feldsher), agronomist and animal husbandry specialist (zootechnician). Zootechnicians are offered salaries of up to 100,000 rubles. Candidate requirements include a relevant higher education degree, at least one year of work experience and knowledge of basic veterinary medicine and animal husbandry technologies.
Agronomists and livestock breeders can be paid up to 90,000 rubles. Agronomists are required to have secondary vocational education, at least one year of work experience and a category B driver’s license. A livestock breeder position can be obtained with a general secondary education.
Lyudmila Yegorova, director of the Nizhny Novgorod Personnel Center "Rabota Rossii," said the center advises jobseekers, conducts career guidance events and refers people for retraining.
Igor Pantyukhin, head of the Department for Labor and Employment of the Population of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, emphasized that employers expect a technically trained specialist who masters modern technologies. According to him, effective coordination between the employer and the jobseeker is important, including through the "Rabota Rossii" portal.
Employment service specialists provide free assistance in job search, resume preparation and interview practice. Vacancies can be viewed on the portal https://trudvsem.ru. Applications and selection can be submitted remotely.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Resources reminded that a personnel support program is in effect in the region. Young specialists under 35 who have completed relevant education and work in agricultural organizations can receive monthly payments of 6,000 or 8,000 rubles for two years. With an obligation to work for at least five years, one-time payments of 400,000 or 500,000 rubles are provided. It is also possible to arrange a targeted payment of 2 million rubles to improve housing conditions.
To motivate schoolchildren to obtain agricultural education, an agrarian scholarship is provided for full-time students studying on a state-funded basis in in-demand agricultural specialties, subject to an agreement on subsequent employment with a specific agricultural organization in the region.
Starting in 2025, by order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Personnel" will begin to operate in Russia, including four federal projects: "Labor Market Management," "Active Measures to Promote Employment," "Education for the Labor Market," and "The Worker." The project is aimed at training personnel to meet employers’ needs by coordinating the work of educational organizations, business and government.
