Information about a paper shortage at the Kstovo Central District Hospital, being spread on social media, does not correspond to reality. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Health.

Earlier, a photo of a notice on the door of one of the rooms in the medical facility appeared online. It stated that patients would need to bring their own paper to receive a prescription because the facility supposedly had none.

The relevant ministry explained that funding for stationery is provided, but institutions are required to plan purchases in advance and monitor their stock.

The notice that sparked discussion online was the initiative of one of the nurses. It, the regional Ministry of Health emphasized, does not reflect the actual state of affairs.

Earlier it was reported that a criminal case on exceeding official authority had been opened against the acting chief physician of the Kstovo Central District Hospital.
