Horrific road accident in the Nizhny Novgorod region: one person killed, three injured.

      One person was killed and three were injured in a road accident in the Sergach district of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, the regional traffic police press service reported.

      According to law enforcement, the accident occurred at the 7th kilometer of the access road to the village of Tatarskoye Maklakovo from the Vorotynets–Spasskoye–Sergach highway at 23:45 on November 29.

      A 67-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Captiva failed to yield to a Lada Priora at an intersection of roads with unequal priority. As a result, a collision occurred.

      The 25-year-old driver of the Lada died at the scene before the ambulance arrived. Three passengers of the domestic car were taken to the Sergach Central District Hospital: a 40-year-old woman and men aged 43 and 24.

      Traffic police officers are establishing the circumstances and causes of the incident.

      Recall that in Kstovo District a GAZelle fatally struck a woman who was crossing at a pedestrian crossing.

      There were also reports of a collision involving five vehicles on Ryabtseva Street in Nizhny Novgorod.
