Sber reported its results in the Nizhny Novgorod Region for the first nine months of 2025.
28 November 2025 20:22 Economy November 28 Sber held a press tour for representatives of regional media, during which the results of the Nizhny Novgorod branch’s activities for the first nine months of 2025 were summarized. In addition to growth in key financial indicators, significant attention was paid to the development of the bank’s digital services, including solutions such as contactless payment “VZHUKH,” the biometric technology “Smile Pay,” the “SberChaevye” service, and much more.
In the field of educational initiatives, one of the key social projects was the Nizhny Novgorod campus of “School 21,” which will soon mark one year of operation in Nizhny Novgorod. “School 21” is an educational project in the field of digital technologies implemented jointly with the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Admission to “School 21” does not depend on prior knowledge, work experience, programming skills, or the possession of diplomas; for more than 50% of participants, the project is their first experience in programming. The Nizhny Novgorod campus is designed for 200 workstations; to be admitted to the main study stream, applicants must pass an in-person 14-day selection “pool.” In 2025 more than 1,000 people passed the selection tests and one third proceeded to the main training.
An important area of activity remains the development of partnerships with business. As part of the “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia” conference, a cooperation agreement in the field of artificial intelligence was signed with the NNDK Group. The partnership between Sber and the NNDK Group has lasted more than 10 years. One successful example of joint work was the development of a project management platform. The platform includes the presentation of production processes as a calendar-network schedule, real-time control of project timelines, and software deployment as a service.
Mikhail Ivanov, CEO of the NNDK Group:
“The key advantages of network planning reflected in this software include a reduction in construction timelines by 15–25%, resource optimization, and precise identification of critical tasks, which can lead to savings of tens of millions of rubles on large projects.
The network schedule provides the most complete interconnection between tasks given a certain technological sequence. This makes it possible to present the entire course of construction work systematically and on a large scale, which is especially important for large construction projects where many tasks and stages can easily become confused without a clear structure.”
Natalya Demina, head of Sberbank’s Nizhny Novgorod branch:
“In summary, it can be noted that Sber’s ecosystem is integrating into various spheres of the region’s life — from education to infrastructure. Technological products such as ‘VZHUKH,’ ‘Smile Pay,’ and ‘SberChaevye’ have already become an integral part of everyday life for residents of Nizhny Novgorod.
Strategic partnerships with flagships such as ‘School 21’ and the NNDK Group allow us to jointly shape the region’s digital future by implementing the most advanced solutions and creating an environment for the development of talent and business. It is particularly valuable that over the years of cooperation with the NNDK Group we have been able to implement projects that genuinely improve the quality of life for Nizhny Novgorod residents, and ‘School 21’ has become an important center for training IT personnel in a year.”
