      Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region unanimously supported a draft appeal to the State Duma on tightening alcohol sales at the meeting on November 27, NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" reports.

      As the chairman of the Legislative Assembly's Committee on Economics, Igor Norenkov, said, over the past year the regional parliament sent several inquiries to the relevant federal ministries and agencies, but no clear answers were received.

      Also, according to the lawmaker, the reason for the appeal to the State Duma is numerous reports of violations in the sale of alcoholic beverages in districts of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      As a result, the deputies unanimously voted for the draft appeal to the State Duma on this issue (43 — for, 0 — against).

      Recall that one of the main goals of the appeal to State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly named the need to combat illegal alcohol trade.

      Earlier it was reported that almost 900 bottles of alcohol without a license were found in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
