Vorobyov spoke about pre-professional classes in Moscow Region schools.
27 November 2025 15:05 Society. In the Moscow Region, the system of pre-professional education is actively developing. More than 47,000 students in 90% of the region’s schools are acquiring practical skills in IT, agrotechnologies, engineering, medicine, entrepreneurship, psychology and pedagogy, as well as in cadet and media tracks. According to 360.ru, the number of such classes has increased by 42% this year.
Governor Andrey Vorobyov noted that eight out of ten graduates of pre-professional classes enroll in universities on state-funded places. IT classes show particularly high results: 94% of their graduates receive state-funded places. Also, 89% of students from engineering classes and 84% from medical classes enter on state-funded places.
Pre-professional classes cooperate with more than 400 partners, including major companies such as Rosatom, Istok and Rubin. This allows students to undertake internships and gain real work experience.
Graduates of IT classes show outstanding results on the Unified State Exam in computer science, mathematics and physics, scoring on average nine points higher than their peers. Young engineers and entrepreneurs also demonstrate high results, exceeding the average by seven points.
Pavel Volgin, the computer science teacher at Gymnasium No. 16 "Interest" in Lyubertsy, emphasized that such programs contribute to early career guidance and successful preparation for university admission.
The most popular universities among graduates are Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the Timiryazev Academy, Pirogov University, MIPT and MEPhI. Students get to know these institutions while still at school by attending lectures and master classes.
Schools in the region are being actively equipped with modern equipment, which enables scientific research and practical work. The growth in the number of IT and agrotechnology classes is particularly noticeable.
When applying to universities, graduates of pre-professional classes can receive up to ten additional points, which significantly increases their chances of admission.
