The prosecutor's office is investigating "RUMO" over multimillion salary arrears.

      A prosecutorial inspection is being conducted in relation to JSC "RUMO" in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the supervisory authority's press service reported.

      It was established that since August 2025 the enterprise has owed more than 95 million rubles to 439 workers. Earlier, after the intervention of supervisory authorities, over 40 million rubles of the debt was repaid.

      The prosecutor's office is now taking a number of measures to fully restore the labor rights of the plant's workers.

      The situation is under the supervision of regional prosecutor Andrey Travkin.

      The issue of wage arrears surfaced on social media. Residents of Nizhny Novgorod appealed to the authorities asking for intervention. Representatives of the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade responded to their messages. According to them, the plant's management intends to fully repay the debts to employees by the end of 2025.

      We also recall that the chairman of the board and co-owner of JSC "RUMO", Andrey Gorshkov, is being held in a pre-trial detention center on charges of abuse of power and fraud on a particularly large scale. The charges do not pertain to the operations of the Nizhny Novgorod plant.
