Employees of a Nizhny Novgorod plant are experiencing delayed pay: what the authorities say
26 November 2025 15:58 Economy Employees of the RUMO plant appealed to Nizhny Novgorod Governor Gleb Nikitin with complaints about months-long delays in wage payments. They left messages on the regional governor’s social media, including during a live Q&A with the governor held on November 25.
According to the workers, part of the staff has not received payments since the summer. People are demanding explanations and concrete steps to resolve the situation.
Representatives of the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade commented on the situation. They confirmed the existence of arrears and noted that the enterprise is gradually repaying debts as funds become available. According to them, the plant’s management plans to fully clear the debts to employees by the end of 2025.
The relevant ministry added that all possible measures are being taken to overcome the crisis and restore the enterprise’s stable operation.
Earlier it became known that the State Labor Inspectorate will re-inspect a Nizhny Novgorod construction company that owes employees 21 million rubles.
