      The company Vodolyot plans to launch a river service between Nizhny Novgorod and Vyksa in 2026. This was announced at a meeting of the standing commission of the city Duma on the development of road infrastructure and transport, reports a correspondent of NIA "Nizhny Novgorod".

      "We will reach Vyksa next year," said the company's general director, Nikita Italyantsev.

      He added that there are plans to open a route to Ryazan, but the "situation on the Oka" will most likely not allow this next year.

      Recall that the Vyksa service was planned to be launched from Nizhny Novgorod in 2025. However, due to the shallowing of the Oka, the project had to be abandoned.

      Earlier it was reported that navigation of high-speed hydrofoil vessels in the Nizhny Novgorod region ended on October 20.
