The court sentenced a resident of Arzamas to forced labor for making threats with a pistol.

      In Arzamas, a 49-year-old local resident appeared in court after causing a dangerous incident in the courtyard of an apartment building, the regional prosecutor's office reported.

      According to the supervisory authority, the man stepped onto the roadway and stopped an oncoming vehicle. He then took a signal pistol out of his jacket pocket and aimed it directly at the car's windshield. To underscore his intentions, the intoxicated troublemaker fired a shot in the direction of the building.

      The driver, fearing for his pregnant wife who was in the car, got out and demanded that the aggressive actions stop. However, the hooligan fired several more times toward the building.

      The court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 2 years and 9 months of compulsory labor with 20% of his earnings withheld in favor of the state.

      Earlier it was reported that a young man with a pistol took a BMW worth 13 million rubles from a Nizhny Novgorod resident.
