The average teacher's salary in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has been announced.

      21 November 2025 13:10 Society Representatives of the regional Ministry of Education released data on the average salary of teachers in 2025, responding to questions from users of the social network VKontakte.

      According to the information, for the period from January to October of the current year the average income of teachers in general education institutions of the region amounted to 59,252.7 rubles. It is noted that these figures do not include federal payments for class supervision.

      Compared with the same period in 2024, teachers' salaries increased by 11.3%. The ministry clarified that the positive dynamics are due, among other things, to the recent indexation.

      At the same time, as of 1 October 2024 the base salaries of employees of state institutions in the Nizhny Novgorod Region were increased by 7.2%.

      Earlier it became known that the Russian Ministry of Education is considering the possibility of raising teachers' salaries across the country.

      It was also reported that every fourth teacher in the Nizhny Novgorod Region works in a rural area.
