The introduction of a tourist tax in the Diveyevsky District has been postponed for a year, said the head of the Ministry of Tourism of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Sergey Yakovlev, at Governor Gleb Nikitin’s meeting with the business community on November 19.

The initiative to postpone the tax’s introduction came from hotel owners. They appealed to regional authorities asking not to introduce it on January 1, 2026, as previously planned.

Minister Yakovlev said that following discussions of this initiative with the district leadership, it was decided to push back the tax’s start date by one year. Thus, the tourist tax in the Diveyevsky District will begin to be collected on January 1, 2027.

Earlier it was reported that the tourist tax would take effect in Arzamas on January 1, 2026.
